NAME: Beckie Bullimore

JOB TITLE: Network Marketer

When and Why did you make Manchester your home?

Having met my boyfriend in Australia (of all places), our time there was starting to close in. Being both from England, me from Sheffield and him from London, we know England (if not hesitantly) would be our next stop. Not liking living in and among all the hustle of London life and wanting a change of scenery from Sheffield, we landed on the decision to call Manchester our home in September 2018.

What makes Manchester special?

Living within the Northern Quarter, among the thriving hubs for creativity and successful independent ventures to the quirky, hipster bars that set this part of the city a-life. Not one two streets are the same, you truly are immersed in a diverse world of music, art and fashion in the city. With plenty of cool and quirky events and fun things to do every week of the year, you really have a bustling social calendar packed with festivals, all-day events and free activities.

What drives you?

Helping others is one of the main things that drive me, being able to make a difference in others lives. I am a kind of person that puts others before myself and always tries to lookout for others. It gives me satisfaction by helping and making others happy. Empowered people, empower others. Be bold. Be ambitious. Be daring.

Having a passion for what I do, to be willing to wake up early and go to bed late. When you are so passionate about something, you will think about it all the time. It gives you the drive each day to achieve what you want in life.

What are your dreams/ where would you like to be in 5 years?

My dreams are to be able to live my life on my terms and no one else’s. While Helping as many people both here in England and all over the world to Laos live a life with no limitations. To be continually open, improving and learning whether that be my mindset, my physical capabilities, my relationships with others.

But one of my top dreams is to be financially stable so that I can fully immerse myself into my love of travelling and not have any money worries what’s so ever. Be able to up and leave to visit a new country wherever and whenever I chose.

In 5 years time I would like to be exploring a new country with my boyfriend, meeting new and interesting people who have the same love of life as I do.

What is the biggest issue at the moment for women which needs to be talked more about?

I feel that one of the challenges which still surround women and that still needs to be talked about is equality in the workplace. I believe that women regardless of age, race or sexual orientation should go for what they want in their careers and not to give up. Refine the skills necessary to give women those opportunities, be that communication skills, leadership development, and emotional intelligence. Have the confidence to raise their hand in meetings. Speak up, and be heard.
