Review
It’s a feel-good show, with all the iconic songs, and it ends with an electrifying performance from the cast that looks as if they’re having a great time, and the audience are right on their feet dancing with them!
Ooo its electrifying, Grease lighting! What a stand out theatre performance. It is a fun and energetic show which takes you back in time to the 1950's for a thrilling ride of romance, friendships, souped-up cars, school dances, drive-in movies and graduation. A real nostalgic feel good show.
The musical tells the story of teenage love, angst and growing up in the 1950s. The spotlight is on the leather-clad Danny Zuko played by Marley Fenton and the perfect girl-next-door Sandy played by Hope Dawe who after a whirlwind summer romance arrive at Rydell High School for the new term only to find each other there. What could possibly go wrong? Will they be able to survive the pressure of the final year of school?
As the story unfolds Sandy starts learning the different side to Zuko in front of his Burger brother pals which pushes her away from him and she tries all sorts of new experiences. Throughout the performance she meets the pink ladies who have their influence on Sandy which in the end is a positive touch giving Sandy a shocking new personality.

The production of the show was outstanding and it is nothing like I've seen before! The choreography, costumes, sound, lighting and props all were in harmony together and were key indications to keep the story alive and the audience rock n rolling. A special shout out to the radio show announcer played by Joe Gash who kept it groovy all the way through brilliantly funny, charismatic, and delightfully cliché, he delivered a five-star performance. Although all the young cast did keep the show alive and kicking!
It’s everything you could want and hope from seeing this beloved classic live on stage. And if you haven’t seen the film, you’re in for a musical theatre treat.
