Top Five Brunch Spots In Birmingham

If there’s one thing that unites the City Girls, it’s food, and the Birmingham City Girl Network is no different. But where to go? In the UK’s second city there are loads of brunch options so I recently asked the girls for their favourites and here are some that came up.

The Florence B3

The Florence offers a bottomless brunch every Saturday and Sunday between 12pm and 4pm and the Birmingham Girls even hosted a meetup there.

For £30, brunchers can choose 2 courses from their extensive menu with unlimited bellinis and prosecco, or for an extra £5 you can add an additional course. The veggie burgers and chicken burgers proved the most popular brunch choice and for my second course I went for the icecream sandwich, which was maybe a bit trendy for me- and was deconstructed.

Chung Ying

Chung Ying has the largest dim sum menu in the UK, and the venues in the Chinese Quarter offer 20% off all dim sum between 12pm and 5pm daily. Feast on dumplings, buns, and small plates with a group of fellow food lovers, all while enjoying a very generous discount.

Ju Ju's Cafe

Ju Ju’s is a canalside institution open throughout the day for all your breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner needs. They even host regular events such as their popular murder mysteries as well as a legendary annual Eurovision Song Contest Party. Although they don’t offer a bottomless option, you can add one of their in-house cocktails such as the ‘Sex on the Canal’- see what they did there?

Pro-tip: Ask for a hybrid version of the Porky Hash and the Veggie Hash for what I have self-titled, The Brunch of Champions.

Medicine

For the Instagram-worthy brunch, Medicine is a very popular choice. The Birmingham space, in a fantastic Victorian space on New Street doubles up as a gallery with regular art exhibitions and events. Brunch options are served until 4pm daily, including French Toast, Turkish Eggs, and a Falafel Tartine.

Wayland’s Yard

There may be an extensive brunch and breakfast menu served all day at Wayland’s Yard but it is the, now legendary, Eggy Crumpets, that draw the crowds. Think savoury French Toast. These egg-dipped crumpets are covered in halloumi, chilli jam, fresh chilli, and ketchup. Hungry yet?
