Uninhibited: ‘The Shrew Series’ – The New Platform for Women-Identifying Creatives

In this guest post, we’re handing over the reigns to Z, creator of Uninhibited, to tell you all about her brand new creative project: ‘The Shrew Series’! Here she talks about what TSS is all about and how you can get involved. This project is a great opportunity for writers and actors to share their work in a supportive creative community.

Welcome to a new platform focused on empowering, educating and engaging our community on the conversation of womanhood. Check out the new audible series releasing ahead of 2026 'The Shrew Series'.

What does modern day womanhood mean to you? Has it changed since you were  younger, has it changed since last year, last week or even yesterday?

The multi-faceted experience of being a woman today and in the UK, has dramatically  shifted since our parents time but even with the positive changes over the years, the  constant undertone of limited beliefs can still be there.

I’ll never forget the micro aggressive comments throughout my own life of the seemingly  precise and one way direction of being a woman, the earliest memory being 3 years old… and they kept coming, when you don’t stand in line, you are constantly fed the message  you aren’t ‘quite right’. Then one day, we all have to set ourselves free from the confining expectations placed  onto us by society. Whatever that means to you.

Uninhibited was born from the many conversations over the years with friends, family,  colleagues and those beautiful moments with strangers where you meet the multi-faceted  experiences of womanhood through the lens and stories of so many you pass in life. It  was born from wanting to bring another creative lens to the activist world and use our  voices to bring awareness in a way we can relate to, that we can engage with and can  explore creatively in.

So with that, welcome to the new wonderful audible project amplifying voices of  ‘untamed’ women. Led by Uninhibited, the untameable Shrew Series is a collection of  performances around 5 minutes long on the themes of womanhood (mixed in with  interviews from the writers themselves!) The core focus is to empower, educate and  engage the community.
