Join us for the launch of the Brighton Girl Creatives on Wednesday 15th November from 6.30pm-9.30pm at PLATF9RM Hove. Powered by MPB, we are creating a collaborative ecosystem of diverse creatives, operating in all parts of the creative economy. This includes working in the arts (photography, videography, music, theatre, art etc.) and the creative sector (marketing, events, design, PR, tech development etc.).
At this event, you will hear from a panel of diverse creatives about their experiences in negotiating pay, developing professional skills and discussing the best ways to ensure gender equity in the creative economy. You will also have the opportunity to speed-network with other creatives and give your own views.
Our local community will be joining forces with other City Girl Network communities to create the City Girl Creatives. Together, we aim to empower gender equity across all creative work through impactful connection. The Bristol Girl Creatives will be launching the very next day.
The findings from four events happening in Brighton, Bristol, London and Manchester, online discussions and a UK-wide survey will be shared in a report being released in 2024. Powered by MPB, this report will highlight the current state of gender inequality in the creative economy, and what we need to do to achieve gender equity in the future.
The ticket includes a welcome drink.
