Join us for our first event of 2024: January's Book Club, where we will be discussing I'm A Fan by Sheena Patel.
January's theme is debut novelists. Patel is part of the poetry collective 4 Brown Girls Who Write and created her debut novel during the pandemic. ‘I'm a Fan’ is a searing look at social media, obsession and the roles such things play in our lives, told from the point of view of a woman obsessing over her lover's other lover. Patel recently discussed her work at the Manchester Literary Festival.
This event will be hosted at Haunt, Peter Street, in Manchester. Our book club events are now being run through the City Girl website, allowing us to give numbers to the venue beforehand. The link to register for the event, as well as an affiliate link for the book, will be posted a month before the event.
