Bristol Girl Plant Swap & Plant Pot Painting

We’d love to welcome you all to Bristol Girl’s first ever plant swap & plant pot painting experience!

Whether you’re new to houseplants or have your own little green haven at home, we welcome you all to come and join us, and what’s better swapping a plant, then painting its new little home? 🏠🪴

💜 Where? Future Leap, Gloucester Road

💛 When? Saturday 14th September, 11am - 12.30pm

💜 What to expect? Bring along your plant, and swap it for a new one, it’s as simple as that! We kindly ask that all houseplants are under 1 metre tall, and all plants to be labelled by plant name (don’t worry about the Latin!) Then sit down, and use your creative flair to paint a plant pot to take your new plant home in!

Hosts: Tamara & Alie

Please make sure any plant cuttings are rooted (even the slightest!) before attending to ensure an easy transition to their new home.

This is a great opportunity to meet local houseplant lovers and gather some tips for best care practice!

We can’t wait to meet you! Time to get propagating 🌻

Bristol Girl SOS Dance

Join Bristol Girl to discover your inner confidence & feel your most empowered self in this 2 hour self-love dance workshop, designed for all dance levels (even if you’ve never done a dance class before!) hosted & taught by @sos_rach & @sosdanceglobal. Of course, our BG rep Ella will also be there 💜

All you need to bring is yourself & water for hydration - we will take care of the rest! 💛

The theme for our opening event is of course…🥁🥁🥁..

TAYLOR SWIFT!

Even cuter too.. everyone will receive a friendship bracelet that you can swap around with your fellow new mates! Or keep if you were lucky enough to get tickets to one of the Taylor Swift concerts in June.. Hello Cardiff 💪

Wanna know more about the routine?

AHHHHH what a routine choreographed by Bonnie Parsons & Kelechi Nwanokwu!!!

In the words of Bonnie - SOS CEO & Founder & A-list Choreographer:

“When I was researching the song, if you watch the music video there’s Taylor Swift. and she’s like this master controlling character and behind the screen she goes to this underground place and there’s this alter ego. She’s almost like this super hero, powerful - an alter ego version of her!

This super hero symbolises that whatever has been controlling her, she’s realised that it doesn’t benefit anyone to give anyone their power. She reclaims it, takes it back, breaks free of it all. She’s dangerous but in the most empowering way and this character is going …Are You Ready For It?

So I wanted to dedicate this routine to anything that you feel is controlling you in any way. You are this alter ego character breaking free.

The way that Kelechi and I have choreographed it is we’re different characters. So to begin with, we’re the controlling character, then it goes into this “ethereal fairy” of discovering your vulnerability stepping into who you can be and after that it’s the breaking free moment and you’re just f**king it up, in the best way.

Wear what makes you feel your most confident self!

Please Note: Please ensure you bring clean or indoor trainers are per venue policy.

So, if you’ve just moved to Bristol or have been here forever but fancy making some new pals this is the event for you! We understand that coming to an event can be daunting if you haven’t been to one before (or sometimes even if you have!)

We really want you al to know that absolutely everyone on the Bristol Girl group is welcome. We are a group of kind, supportive and inclusive girls who are all here with the same thing in mind - to create some strong connections and quality friendships.
