The Macs Farm: Family-run Farm Specialising in Events & Weddings

We are The Macs Farm, a family run organic egg farm, located in the beautiful Ditchling, East Sussex. We are 1 hour from London, and 15 minutes from the seaside town of Brighton. We share our 100-acre home with 12,000 free range chickens, who roam acres of wild meadows.

We love nothing more than sharing our home with others, watching them switch off and enjoy their time here. Over the last 10 years we have worked hard to transform this farm into a completely unique event venue that feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life - there really is nothing like it!

'The Nest Box Barn' is our newest venue, converted during lockdown from a working chicken shed into a beautiful and unique boutique venue. It is now the hub of the farm, hosting all of our music and street food evenings, as well as numerous beautiful weddings and private events.

It is a large open barn, equipped with long banquet tables, benches and sofas, and is lit by festoon and fair lighting. The focal point is our large, fully stocked bar serving local alcoholic, soft and hot drinks. There is a small stage set up for bands and DJs, and the concrete floor is perfect for access.

As well as the glorious indoor area, your hire also includes the wonderful Nest Box field, which is a lit with festoons and peppered with picnic tables. Create your very own outdoor area with sofas/ gazebos/ street food diners - or even outdoor activities. We even have camping available. With so much space, this hire provides you with the flexibilities that so many venues do not. Whether you're looking for a formal sit down meal, or a low-key street food style get together, we can work with you to create your perfect day.
