The Brighton Book Festival is back — and bigger than ever. Take part in workshops and immerse yourself in conversations about books, ideas and community as we celebrate voices that challenge, inspire, and reflect the world we live in.
From powerhouse panels and author Q&As to hands-on workshops, poetry slams, and children’s storytelling, this year’s festival champions inclusivity, creativity and the radical joy of reading.

Rural Sussex Girl Run & Coffee Club
Looking to start running, ease back into it, or just enjoy a relaxed 5K with great company? The Rural Sussex Girl Run & Coffee Club is for you! This session is designed for beginners and those who haven't run before, using a supportive interval-based approach (start, stop, run) to help you build confidence and fitness at your own pace.

Rural Sussex Girl Wine & Yoga at Bolney Wine Estate
Join CJYoga for a RSG Wine & Yoga evening at Bolney Wine Estate🧘🏻♀️💜
This is the perfect way to 'wine down' after work! ✨
You’ll be treated to a gentle yoga flow class in the picturesque location of the vines, before indulging in a glass of wine and charcuterie board.
Please note - if the weather makes it impossible for us to enjoy yoga in the vines, it will take place in a space overlooking the idyllic plains instead. If you are a hayfever sufferer - please prepare accordingly.
This event is a great opportunity to chat and connect while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Bolney Wine Estate.

Rural Sussex Girl Small Plates & Pinch Pots - An Evening with Clayful Hands & Wolfox
Join Rural Sussex Girl & Clayful hands at Wolfox for a relaxed, yet refined evening at Wolfox, Haywards Heath.
We will be hosted through the evening by Jess & Sydney from Clayful Hands on this adventure, with our fab RSG host, Charlie to ensure you have the BEST evening!
The evening begins with a guided pinch pottery session, where you’ll create your own unique ceramic piece in the warm and stylish setting of Wolfox. No experience needed—just come ready to unwind and enjoy the process.
After shaping your pottery, sit back and enjoy a selection of delicious small plates, paired with your choice of a non-alcoholic drink. There is also the option to upgrade to an alcohol version upon booking for an extra fee.
This is the perfect way to round off a creative evening with good company and great food.
Small Plates will be served buffet-style with allergens clearly marked - but please do let us know about any dietary requirements upon booking.

We will explore some simple breathing techniques to aid relaxation, and take some soft yoga-based movements to restore the parasympathetic nervous system, bringing balance and allow the body and mind to rest and relax so that you can leave feeling refreshed, and peacefully energised.
In the second part of our afternoon together, Emma from Sacred Senses Holistics will guide us to make our own spring wreaths to take home.
You don’t need any previous experience in flower arranging or Yoga. Come with an open mind ready to get creative and have fun.

Rural Sussex Girl Pinch Pottery
Join Rural Sussex Girl as we join with Sydney from Clayful Hands for a cosy and creative morning at Cafe Vegu, a charming Korean-style café.
In this relaxed workshop, you'll learn the art of pinch pottery—shape your own mug or mini planter under the guidance of Sydney while soaking in the warm café atmosphere. Of course, there will be Jas our RSG host on hand too to ensure you are all having a great time too.
After getting your hands messy with clay, unwind with a delicious Korean-inspired brunch, freshly brewed coffee, and the option to purchase a sweet bakery treat on the day.
Spots are limited, so book now for a Sunday morning filled with creativity, community, and comfort food! Bookings will close in advance of the date, so we advise booking in your spot as soon as you can.

Rural Sussex Girl Galentine’s Afternoon Retreat
Join Rural Sussex Girl to celebrate the love season at the Rural Sussex Galentine’s Afternoon Retreat - treat yourself and make new friends at the same time!
Heart Opening Yoga and Art for Wellbeing workshop, starting at Profiles Studio, Hassocks (2 mins walk from the station).
A slow nurturing yoga class promoting self-care includes self-massage and gentle meditation.
We'll move across the road to De La Casa for our Art session. You'll be guided through a grounding mindfulness activity to centre yourself in the moment before creating a unique piece of art - a gift to yourself, with love. We will use a blend of watercolours and line drawings to create pieces that uplift and make you feel good, fostering a sense of self-appreciation and nurturing.
The emphasis of the afternoon will on loving yourself and meeting yourself in the moment while connecting with like-minded individuals.
Enjoy a quiet afternoon of gentle movement, creativity, reflection, and meaningful connection—no Yoga or art experience needed!
