Birmingham Girl Silent Book Club
Introducing our very first Silent Book Club! This has been created in mind to provide a neuroinclusive space for people to come together to read. The space we have chosen will allow us to adjust the volume of any music and the lighting levels to accommodate all sensory needs.
The first part of event will form a short discussion around books, but you are welcome to join and simply read. The rest of the event will allow all members to read their own books silently in the company of others.
This will take place on Tuesday 24th September at Lost & Found Birmingham, with no set book in mind, so no pressure to have read a specific book. However, as this is our first event of this kind - if others would like that, it is something that can be discussed then.
Hosted by Yas - our fab volunteer for this club!
Our book clubs aren’t a serious affair. They’re just a nice opportunity to get together in a relaxed space and have a chat in small groups. We’ll give you a list of questions – shared before the event so you know what to expect – and your group can choose how you use them.
There have been so many long-lasting friendships made by our book clubs – it’s such a special event!
We have a few affiliate relationships with booksellers. If you choose to buy from them, we’d love it if you can buy them through our links below!
